Agenda: Leadership Retreat

Agenda: Leadership Retreat, Day one

September 4, 2008 – Leadership Retreat
Mount Hermon Christian Conference Center, Meadowview Room
Sponsored by: Mount Hermon Conference Center

Meeting Theme: The speakers will discuss the value of understanding diversity and different leadership styles when working together. We will also see how a grove of redwood trees relates to leadership as we walk through the Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park.

Directions and Parking: You are urged to carpool with your class mates. Turn on Graham Hill Road where Highway 17 and Ocean Street meet in Santa Cruz (next to Denny’s Restaurant). Go north on Graham Hill until you will descend a long hill into the Felton area. Turn right on the Roaring Camp Road at the bottom of the hill (opposite Roaring Camp Railroad) and turn right on to Conference Drive. Go up Conference Drive into Mount Hermon Conference Center and proceed under the pedestrian overpass. You should park in the parking lot on Conference Drive located on your right just beyond the overpass and adjacent to the grassy recreation field. There is additional parking behind the Lakeside Lounge if the main parking lot is full. After parking your car in the Conference Drive parking lot, walk to the large fieldhouse (the McAfee Fieldhouse) on the far side of the recreation field. The room is located on the backside of the fieldhouse. There will be a least one sign directing you. For more details about Mount Hermon Conference Center check their website at www.mounthermon.org .

Dress casual and comfortable; wear good walking shoes as we will be doing a one-mile hike (very level on an improved trail) in the afternoon. Be prepared for for fog and/or cool weather in the afternoon.
